TOP 5 FEATURES OF THE 2021 CADILLAC ESCALADE
The new 2021 Cadillac Escalade was released on February 4th, 2020 by Spike Lee in “Anthem,” a short film he directed highlighting the captivating presence, advanced technology and incredible engineering of the 2021 Escalade. Since then, we’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next-generation Escalade at Landers Chevrolet Cadillac of Joplin in late 2020. To get you ready for its arrival, we’ve outlined the top five features of the 2021 Escalade!
OLED Curved Screen
The industry-first curved Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) screen is definitely the most awe-inspiring new feature on the Escalade. This screen offers more than 38 inches of diagonal display with twice the pixel density of a 4K TV. The total system includes three screens: a 7.2-inch diagonal touch control panel to the driver’s left, a 14.2-inch diagonal cluster display behind the steering wheel and a 16.9-inch diagonal infotainment screen to the driver’s right. The screen itself is ultra-thin, allowing it to curve for optimal visibility.
Augmented Reality-Enabled Navigation
The new Augmented Reality-Enabled Navigation system uses live street views with directional overlays. This technology provides real-time, enhanced driving directions. It also includes a live forward camera view.
AKG Audio Technology
AKG is known worldwide for creating microphones and headphones used by leading performers in studios and performance venues. Now, AKG has brought their incredible sound technology to the 2021 Escalade. The industry-first available AKG audio technology has 36-speakers powered by three amplifiers that delivers 28 channels for an incredibly immersive and crisp listening experience.
Super Cruise Driver Assistance Technology
The self-driving, autonomous car of the future may not be so far away. The new Super Cruise Drive Assistance Technology enables hands-free driving on more than 200,000 miles of compatible highways in the United States and Canada using map data, high precision GPS, an advanced driver-attention system and a network of cameras and radar sensors. This enhanced new Super Cruise system has several new updates, including automated lane changing. Automated lane changing works by allowing the driver to indicate which direction they would like to move by simply switching their turn signal. The attention system helps keep drivers engaged by detecting when drivers need to pay more attention and providing alerts.
New V8 and Turbo-Diesel Engines
The 2021 Escalade is now offered with a standard 420-horsepower 6.2-L V8 engine with variable valve timing, stop/start and DynamiC Fuel Management technology. The available 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine provides an impressive 460 lb.-ft. of torque for more powerful performance and trailering capacity. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a trailering package is standard on all models.
