BEWARE! Chevy Colorado: GM officially released a service bulletin addressing the coolant leak at the upper radiator hose. It is a “known defect" rather than wear-and-tear. Landers, the Chevy dealership in Joplin, Mo., is aware of this problem, which bulletin PIT6494A documented. They did not stand behind their product but instead charged me over $500. I was disappointed that they did not stand behind their product!
I had a positive experience with this dealership, which I would rate as five stars. I found a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt LT sedan online, listed at a fair market price. The salesperson, Chance, was kind and professional. After a test drive, I was pleased with the vehicle's condition, considering its age and mileage. The engine had life left, transmission shifted smoothly, and brakes stopped the car without issue. However, there were some drawbacks, including a loud whining sound under the hood and wandering at highway speeds. The turn signal stalk needed repair, and the back windows didn't work. Despite these issues, I was happy with the price and negotiated a deal. The dealership addressed the issues and kept me updated on the maintenance. Overall, I was impressed with the dealership's service and would recommend them.
We were just coming into look & get some ideas, on truck prices. The young man, who helped us was very kind & considerate, not forceful or pushy. Really liked dealing with him because his attitude was for the customer! He even showed us a truck we didn’t know about so, we ended up buying it

Dishonest people and dealership. Cody Hilburn and Pete Hizen from Landers Chevrolet Cadillac of Joplin I had the misfortune of dealing with Cody Hilburn and Pete Hizen from Landers Chevrolet Cadillac of Joplin recently, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. My daughter and I drove two hours to see a specific vehicle that was listed on their website. After arriving, we were told that the vehicle we came for wasn’t even available—despite having checked in advance and confirming its availability. This was already frustrating, but it only got worse from there. Instead of offering any real solution, they tried to push a completely different vehicle on us for the same price, but with far fewer options and more miles! It was clear they were just trying to make a sale at any cost, and their dishonesty was on full display. What’s worse is that my 16-year-old daughter could see firsthand how shady and untrustworthy this dealership was, which is incredibly disappointing. We had already submitted a credit application and were prepared to make a deal—with $10,000 to put down. Yet, they wasted our time and completely disregarded our intentions. This kind of treatment is unprofessional, misleading, and shows a total lack of respect for customers. I would strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to stay far away. They are clearly not interested in providing honest service or a positive experience. Absolutely disgusted by the entire ordeal. If there’s a positive to come out of this, my daughter got to see firsthand how dishonest dealerships can be a lifetime lesson. You best believe my peers and coworkers in Northwest Arkansas will hear about my experience with this dealership.
Critters chewed up my wiring on my EV car. Fortunately, the light came on and I took it in to have it checked out. They found the chewed wiring and would not let me drive home. They provided a loaner car for me so I wasn't stranded. This occurred over Thanksgiving, so a lot of time was lost. Tom was excellent to work with, he communicated with me multiple times as we waited on the insurance adjuster then the parts. I knew my car was in good hands. I used to go to a different Chevrolet service department - I was not happy with them. I've been very happy with the service @ Landers and I've always worked with Tom.
Ricky is the only reason I purchase a vehicle from landers. I have worked with a lot of salesman and he is the best by far.

Briefly…I’m shopping an hour from home, driving a suburban that someone tried to steal at the KC airport but failed after stripping all the wires in the steering column. Today was the first time I needed to use the windshield wipers after the car being repaired locally and then they wouldn’t turn off. Wouldn’t even slow down. It’s four thirty on a Friday before a three day holiday. A service manager and a mechanic, I’m so sorry I didn’t get their names, located and pulled the relevant fuse to shut down the wipers. First they checked the weather to see if I would be likely to run into more rain before I got home. A total stranger, at the last minute on a holiday weekend. They would only accept a heartfelt thank you and wished me a safe trip home. I’m a 76 year old widow and their kindness meant the world to me. Landers Chevrolet you rate 10+!
Friendly and informative and the atmosphere was more relaxed, not high pressure, than is often encountered.
