CADILLAC WILL OPEN RESERVATIONS FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE BLACKWING VEHICLES ON FEB. 1
Over the past decade or so, Cadillac has taken bold steps to change the image of their storied brand to include not only the most luxurious automobiles to be had at any price, but also some of the highest-performance cars and SUVs on the planet.
Recently, Cadillac announced another milestone in that long standing effort to blow the dust off the image of Cadillac, disclosing that not only will February 1 mark the worldwide reveal of the all-new, ultra-high-performance 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwind and CT5-V Blackwing vehicles, customers will also have the opportunity to reserve one of these incredible cars on the same day.
In a recent press release, Cadillac announced that the 2022 CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing sedans would be revealed to the world at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time on February 1 at the brand’s standalone website, Cadillac.com, the Cadillac Twitter page and Cadillac’s media site.
Cadillac has spent the past few months teasing details of the Blackwing cars, which will continue Cadillac’s turn toward providing the perfect blend of high-performance and ultra-luxury for today’s Cadillac buyers. Though full details on engine options, horsepower, torque and zero-to-60 times haven’t been released as of this writing, you can be sure Cadillac is going to leave everything on the field when it comes to making the Blackwing vehicles real contenders in today’s modern, high-horsepower muscle car wars. After the Feb. 1 reveal, visitors to the Cadillac website will be able to access a “Reserve Yours” page, where they can reserve one of the first 250 CT4-V and 250 CT5-V Blackwing sedans with a $1,000 refundable reservation fee. When the cars are delivered to those customers in late summer 2021, each car will be equipped with a high-performance steering wheel and an engraved interior plate bearing a five-digit sequence taken from that particular Cadillac’s Vehicle Identification Number.
“Just like fine jewelry comes with engraved serial numbers, we’re treating these V-Series Blackwing vehicles with the same level of exclusivity,” said Brandon Vivian, executive chief engineer, Cadillac. “These are meticulously crafted products with incredible attention to detail, and we’re excited for enthusiasts to start experiencing the cars for themselves.”
In addition, those who buy one of the 2022 Cadillac Blackwing sedan models will receive a two-day high-performance driving experience at Cadillac’s V-Series Academy driving school at the Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club in Pahrump, Nevada.
If you aren’t among the 500 lucky enough to reserve a 2021 CT5-V or CT4-V Blackwing sedan, don’t fret. On the same day, those who don’t get the opportunity to reserve a car will be able to sign up for a waitlist.
