What We Know about the Upcoming 2021 Tahoe & Suburban

February 26, 2020 The all-new 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban are a big deal when it comes to the full-size SUV segment. These hot-selling SUVs will have big shoes to fill when they go on sale in a few weeks, but we think they’ve got what it takes to live up to the iconic Tahoe and Suburban nameplates.

The new Tahoe and Suburban will be offered with your choice of three engines. Options include the familiar 5.3-liter V8, with the option to upgrade to the powerful 6.2-liter V8. Both of these engines are available on the current Tahoe and Suburban. The all-new engine option is a 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel six-cylinder. This engine provides maximum torque and towing power while keeping efficiency in mind. Every engine will be paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

We also know that the 2021 Tahoe and Suburban will be equipped with an independent rear suspension. This does wonders for the interior roominess and driving dynamics. There is 66 percent more cargo room behind the third row for the Tahoe and 19 percent more cargo space behind the first row for the Suburban. Both of these measurements are best-in-class. The Tahoe even has an additional 10 inches of third-row legroom. The second row of seats in both the Tahoe and Suburban have more flexibility in order to move forward and backward for the comfort of all passengers.

The all-new Tahoe and Suburban are going to be big on technology, including a new, standard 10-inch touchscreen which is the largest in the segment. You can also get a 15-inch heads-up display, which no competitor offers. If your rear-seat passengers need extra media, there are dual 12.6-inch rear-seat LCD displays. There are over thirty driver safety and convenience features to keep you and all your passengers safe.
