What’s New with the 2021 and 2022 Traverse?

April 27, 2020 The Chevrolet Traverse gets a makeover for 2021. While the Traverse was set to be revealed as a 2021 model, current situations have now pushed it to be introduced as a 2022 model. The Traverse has more safety features, more interior technology, and more dynamic styling. We’re excited to receive the new Traverse on our lot at Landers Chevrolet Cadillac of Joplin, Missouri!

The 2022 Traverse front end has been redesigned with more angles and larger grilles. The backed-out section at the bottom gives it a more muscular, truck-like look. The headlights are narrower and the taillights have multiple LEDs to show off the rear end styling. There are also four new wheel designs to keep the Traverse fresh and sporty. We suspect that the High Country and Premier are going to be the most popular models with their unique accents and highly-optioned interior amenities.

Speaking of the interior, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available on the Traverse. This convenient feature was only found on high-end luxury cars just a few years ago but now you can have it on your Traverse! The dynamic digital eight-inch gauge cluster is now found on the Traverse as well. You can see all the media, vehicle functions, alerts, and speed right in front of you. It’s customizable and easy on the eyes. Lastly, the new Traverse has four new upholstery colors and materials.

Safety has always been a priority for Chevy models but for this new Traverse model, even more advanced safety features are standard. Standard features now include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, and a following-distance indicator with forward collision alert. Adaptive cruise control is now optional on the LT, RS, and Premier trims and is standard on the High Country model.
