The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Announced
Brilliance can be found in the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV. Once announced that new information would be available this month regarding the new Blazer EV, we at Landers Chevrolet Cadillac of Joplin, Missouri started counting down the days. The announcement has come and gone, so now it’s time for a conversation. Let’s talk about what we know about the newest EV to join the Chevy EV lineup!
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV will come in 1LT, 2LT, RS, and SS trim levels. Production itself will start at stairstep levels, not all at once. The 2LT and RS will be available first in the summer of 2024. The SS will then follow in the fall of 2024 and the 1LT will be the last, available in the winter of 2024.
The Blazer EV has typically been promoted by showing off the vibrant red paint job, but the new EV does have some variety in its exterior color scheme. The color options include
- Summit White
- Iridescent Pearl Tricoat
- Sterling Gray Metallic
- Radiant Red Metallic
- Red Hot
- Galaxy Gray Metallic
- Riptide Blue Metallic
Each color option is bold and stylistic. The options above typically come as two-tone when on the Blazer EV SS trim due to the black roof. This option pairs well with the other black accents on the mirrors, grille panel, lower fascia, and rocker molding. Each design choice is there to mold the 2024 Blazer EV to be more powerful, more aerodynamic, and more capable.
The Blazer is a quick EV, going from zero to 60 in under four seconds. The front-wheel-drive 1LT Blazer EV has an estimated 247-mile driving range on a full charge; the rear-wheel-drive RS Blazer EV can go an estimated 320 miles on a full charge. For reference, Branson, Missouri is about 109 miles away from Joplin. Dallas is, at its quickest route, just under 350 miles away from Joplin, Missouri.
The all-electric Blazer relies on GM’s new Ultium Platform battery. This battery allows the 2024 Blazer EV to come with front-wheel, rear-wheel, or all-wheel drive options. The power continues with an estimated 557 horsepower that’s ready to kick in when you need, or want, it.
The impressive battery isn’t the extent of the stunning tech features in the 2024 Blazer EV. Moving into the cabin, the touchscreen and display screen seem to meld together for a longer screen, creating a seamless environment at the driver’s fingertips. The entire setup is 17.7-inches long, and the Driver Information Screen itself is a whopping 11 inches. Connect to your device with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and keep it charged without any wires thanks to optional wireless charging.
The Interior color scheme consists of two options:
- Adrenaline Red (shown)
- Black and Medium Ash Gray with Argon Orange Accents
These two alternatives keep the Blazer EV cabin simple and sweet.
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist which includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam Auto High Beams. Learn more about each specific feature in the Chevy Safety Assist package.
The Blazer EV will also include safety feature options such as Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Super Cruise, and standard Reverse Automatic Braking Alerts.
